“Why you need to act now” The key message taken away from our Manchester Seminar

Many forward thinking organisations such as First Direct, DB Schenker Rail UK Ltd, Alliance Healthcare, Serco and United Biscuits recently attended our workshop and seminar on the 09th October in Manchester .

They were interested to find out more with regards to what is best practice and available to help them improve and optimise their own absence management process within their organisations.

The feedback from the workshop delegates was unanimously positive and they could clearly see how the Absence Manager solution could benefit and streamline their processes and ultimately impact on their bottom line.

Following the workshop, our panel of speakers, were able to share their valuable experience and knowledge with regards to the controversial topics below, all concerning the management of absence;

  • Mark Hammerton (Director at DWF Lawyers) – Absence Management from a lawyers prospective
  • Dr Mark Hall (Chief Medical Officer Capita) – Targeting clinical intervention
  • Deborah Mussell (Head of HR Process Improvement, British Gas) – Practical application of a robust process in a large organsation
  • David Frost CBE (Co Author of the Government’s Sickness & Absence Review) – Why we need to act now

The feedback from the evening seminar was very positive and the key messages the delegates took home with them were; Train and allow your managers to manage, your managers are key to a robust absence management process; evidence, evidence, evidence it is vital that you have all information at your fingertips and 81% of unplanned absence is 7 days or less so occupational intervention at this time is ineffective and costly.

Will definitely take back to the business – Sara Caldwell, HR Business Partner, Alliance Healthcare.

Can you afford not to know how to optimise your absence management process and improve your bottom line in today’s economic climate?
