Thank you to everyone who attended our evening seminar on the 9th May in London. The night was a great success and attracted over 60 senior executive delegates from many organisations. Attendees included; Lloyds Bank, Fujitsu, , BBC, Kier Group , NHS, MOD & Virgin Holidays to name just a few.
Our panel of experts, whom comprised of; David Frost CBE, Dr Mark Hall (Chief Medical Officer Capita), Deborah Mussell (Head of HR Process Improvement, British Gas) and Mark Hammerton (Director at DWF Lawyers) all shared their experiences, knowledge and best practice of absence management .
The feedback from the delegates was unanimously positive and included the following feedback:
“Very interesting to hear about the British Gas example and how it works in practice and in a large organisation”. Sarah Locke, Employee Relations Officer, Dairy Crest
“It was valuable looking at how different organisations deal with absence”. Anna Waller, HR Business Partner, Swinton
“The real life experiences were the most valuable”. David Barraclough, Head of HR; Cross Country Trains
“Great seminar, speakers very knowledgeable. A lot to learn from them”. Alex Tolan, HR Co-ordinator, Savers Health & Beauty
David Brackwell, Head of Health, Fujitsu summarised the event by saying the following; – “I thought this seminar was really well put together and the presentations complemented each other – this is very often not the case with this type of event. The marketing aspect was left implicit, which was strength – overt sales pitches tend to have the opposite effect. Good seminar – appreciated the opportunity to attend”
